Guiding You On the Path of Self-Healing
Have you ever experienced not being able to make sense of your feelings or your behavior? Do you feel like you are stuck and you don't know how to move on?
Hello, I am Maria Park, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, working with individuals, couples and families. Whether you are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, and/or identity issues, I am equipped to walk along side you in this progressive journey. Everyone is unique and comes to therapy with a different history, different issues, and different ways of approaching things. I work with each client to find a treatment that matches his or her specific needs.
I utilize psychoanalytic, cognitive techniques and trauma informed approach to treat a wide variety of emotional issues. What does that mean? My goal through therapy is to improve your self awareness so that you would have a clear understanding of your current behavior, which might have been caused unconsciously by past experiences.
Therapy is a safe place in which you are able to speak about how you feel in an open and supportive environment. I provide a safe, non-judgmental and empathetic environment so you can share your internal struggles and problematic behaviors.
I understand there are stigmas out there about seeking mental health professionals. As a culturally senstive and faith based therapist, I believe that therapy is about starting the journey of learning about yourself and who you were created to be. It's about making intentional choices in the right direction in your life. I would love to walk side by side with you on that journey.
I provide a safe place to all who are seeking to rediscover and accept themselves. I am also a bilingual therapist, able to provide treatment and resources in Korean and English.
